The entry period for the Picky Bars Lifepoints Adventure Grant (“Lifepoints Adventure Contest”), sponsored by Picky Bars, Inc. (“Picky”), begins on Tuesday May 7th, 2019 and ends on Monday May 20th, 2019 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time (“PT”) (the “Contest Period”). All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Any attempted form of entry into the Lifepoints Adventure Contest other than as described herein is void. Your entry is your agreement to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Picky, which are final and binding in all respects and cannot be challenged or appealed.
The Lifepoints Adventure Contest is open to individuals who meet the following criteria: (a) are eighteen (18) years of age or older and (b) are a legal resident of and physically residing in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, United States territories, possessions, and protectorates, foreign based United States military installations and wherever restricted or prohibited by law) or Canada (“Lifepoints Adventure Contestant”). Neither Sponsor nor employees of Picky are eligible to participate in the Lifepoints Adventure Contest and/or win a Prize (as defined below). Additionally, immediate family members of such employees and persons living in the same household as such employees (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Lifepoints Adventure Contest and/or win a Lifepoints Adventure Grant. For the purposes of this Lifepoints Adventure Contest, “immediate family members” is defined as spouse, domestic partner, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, children, siblings and their spouses.
Applicants must be available and willing to travel to one of the six Lifepoints Adventure Guide destinations (Bend, OR; Marin County, CA; Rock Island, TN; Palouse, ID/WA; Flagstaff, AZ; or Seattle, WA) sometime in the calendar year 2019. Travel arrangements will be the responsibility of the contestant, Picky Bars will award the $1,000 grant by way of check once proof of travel confirmation (flight, car rental, and/or overnight accommodations) is received.
Online entry is the only method of entry for the Lifepoints Adventure Contest.
Entries received before and/or after the Contest Period will be void. All entries become the sole property of Picky and cannot be returned. Picky’s computer will serve as the official timepiece for the Contest Period.
Lifepoints Adventure Contest must complete and submit an application online at www.pickybars.com/lifepointsgrant including:
By submitting any entry into the Lifepoints Adventure Contest, whether complete or not and whether eligible or not, each entrant represents and warrants to Picky that the entry (including, without limitation, the Written Adventure Statement): (a) is the entrant’s original creation; (b) has not copied, secret, privacy or publicity right, or other proprietary or intellectual property right of any person or entity; (d) is not defamatory, libelous, obscene, or otherwise illegal; and (e) is the sole and exclusive property of the entrant, and is not subject to any third-party rights. Submission of false or misleading personal information or copied, plagiarized, offensive or otherwise inappropriate Written Adventure Statements (as determined by Picky in its sole discretion) will be grounds for disqualification of entry. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Illegible or incomplete entries, as determined by Picky in its sole discretion, will be disqualified. Picky will not deem proof in whole or in part, any other work; (c) does not violate or infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade of submission of an entry as proof of receipt of a valid entry.
LIMIT: One (1) entry per Contestant, one (1) category per entry during the Contest Period. In the event that a Contestant exceeds the limit, Picky may, at Picky’s sole discretion, either disqualify all entries by the Contestant or select, at Picky’s sole discretion, one (1) entry for judging and reject the remaining entries.
At the end of the Contest Period, the Picky in its sole discretion, will select one (1) Contestant from eligible entries for determination in awarding Lifepoints Adventure Grant. The Winners of the Lifepoints Adventure Grant are referenced hereinafter as the ” Lifepoints Adventure Grantees” or “Adventure Winners”.
Selected recipients will be notified by May 30th, 2019. All Lifepoints Adventure Grants legitimately claimed will be awarded.
Lifepoints Adventure Grant for 2019 includes a $1,000 travel stipend and a Picky Bars product package valued at ~$100. The grant will be awarded by check sent via secure post (FedEx, USPS certified) upon Picky Bars receipt of proof of travel. This would include flight reservation, car rental, campsite reservation, or overnight accommodations in their selected Lifepoints Adventure Guide city.
The Lifepoints Adventure Grantees will be required to review and execute further contracts and releases provided by Picky and/or related to suppliers of the Adventure Grants in order to receive the applicable goods and/or services.
AN ENTRANT IS NOT CONSIDERED THE WINNER UNLESS AND UNTIL PICKY HAS COMPLETED ITS VERIFICATION OF THAT INDIVIDUAL’S ELIGIBILITY AND COMPLIANCE WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE WINNER HAS PROVIDED THE SIGNED AFFIDAVIT/RELEASE.
Lifepoints Adventure Grantees will be notified by Picky via phone and/or email. If a Lifepoints Adventure Grantee does not accept the Grant and/or return all required documentation and signatures related to acceptance of the Grant within forty eight (48) hours following the date and time the Lifepoints Adventure Grantee is notified, then that Lifepoints Adventure Grantee will be disqualified and an alternate Lifepoints Adventure Grantee will be selected.
Picky will require the tentative Lifepoints Adventure Grantee to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and Publicity Release. The Affidavit/Release must be returned to Picky within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of the Affidavit/Release. A disqualification will result and an alternate Lifepoints Adventure Grantee will be selected if the Affidavit/Release is not returned to Picky within the specified time.
Picky will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, vouchers, gift cards, passes, certificates, or any other item related to the Grant. In the event of such a loss, Picky shall have the right, in Picky’s sole discretion, to disqualify the Lifepoints Adventure Grantee or to award to that Lifepoints Adventure Grantee the remaining elements of the Grant which shall constitute full satisfaction of Picky’s obligation to the Lifepoints Adventure Grantee and no additional compensation, grant, or prize will be awarded to such Lifepoints Adventure Grantee.
All expenses not specifically listed in the Grant awarded are not included and are solely the Lifepoints Adventure Grantee’s responsibility including, without limitation, meals, room service, transportation, airfare, insurance, meals, phone calls, gratuities, incidentals, gasoline, and souvenirs. The Lifepoints Adventure Grantees will be required to review and execute further acknowledgements, contracts and releases provided by Picky in order to receive the Grants. No refund or compensation will be paid in the event of the cancellation or delay of the Grant or any Grant component. Grants are subject to certain terms and conditions as specified by issuer. The terms and conditions of the items if provided by third party vendors will govern the use of that component of the Grant. There is no substitution for any Grant or any portion thereof and no refunds will be given for any unused portion of the Grant. Any non-cash component of the Grant is not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash. All Grant details are at Picky’s sole discretion.
Prizewinners are solely responsible for the reporting and payment of any and all applicable federal, state and local taxes as well as any other costs and expenses associated with acceptance and use of a Prize not specified herein as being awarded. Prizewinners will be issued a 1099 and must fill out a W9 to receive the price.

By entering this Contest, Contestants accept and agree to abide by these privacy policies and terms of use.
All Lifepoints Adventure materials, including applications, and Written Statements (collectively, “Submission”) become the property of Picky Bars and will not be returned. The copyright in any Submission shall remain the property of the Contestant, but entry into this Ultimate Lifepoints Adventure contest constitutes Contestant’s irrevocable and perpetual permission and consent, without further compensation or attribution, to use, reproduce, print, publish, transmit, distribute, sell, perform, adapt, enhance, or display such Submission for any purpose, including but not limited to editorial, advertising, trade, commercial, and publicity purposes by Picky Bars and/or others authorized by Picky Bars, in any and all media, for the duration or the copyright in the Submission. Picky Bars and/or others authorized by Picky Bars shall have the right to edit, adapt, and modify the Submission at their discretion. Any use by a Contestant of any of Picky Bars trademarks or copyright for commercial use must be by written permission only.
