Feed the Dream 2020
Wow. Our FIFTH Feed the Dream.
It's hard to believe that much time has passed since we first came up with the idea, sitting around our weird lime green, kidney-shaped conference room table during a marketing meeting in 2016. This is our second Olympic year! Our second planned trip to Eugene to watch the magic at Hayward, our second opportunity to support athletes chasing down their Olympic dreams.
Feed the Dream has taken a windy course over the years, and that flexibility of supporting different sports and types of athletes has really added to the magic of the program. We sent small batches of product to almost 100 Olympic hopefuls that first year, feeding dreams from water polo to race walking. The following year we chased down triathletes with dreams of 70.3 or 140.6 World Champs, and cheered them on in person at Chattanooga and Kona. In 2018 we widened the net and upped the ante, adding a Competition Costs Stipend fueled by sales from Feed the Dream t-shirts. A pole vaulter, age group-turned-pro triathlete, and power lifter made us damn proud and fans for life. Last year we went all-in on Brian Reynolds, a distance runner who held world records as a double amputee with plans to chase down more.
This year, we're going back to where it all started. To the oval for the race for a spot on Team USA.
Track and Field athletes - we want to go crazy cheering you on in Eugene in June. We also want to feed you, Athletes for Yoga you, and PAY YOU, again with sales from our Feed the Dream shirts.
