Way back in 2010 Jesse (PRO triathlete) set his sights on being really fast on land, in water and on wheels (some might call this a triathlete). He needed a bar that satisfied his nutritional and training needs. Food that he could eat before, after and even during workouts that was easily digestible, real food fuel.

But the only bars on the market were performance bars (full of gnarly ingredients) or real food bars (not balanced for sport).

Luckily, anything is possible with a degree in science and athletic performance from Stanford - enter in Lauren Fleshman, PRO runner and genuine uin badass - 2x USA 5k Champ and 5x NCAA Champ.

So Lauren saw this as an opportunity to create something that couldn't be found, a performance real food bar. With the help from Lauren's pal and fellow Picky athlete, Steph - sub 2:30 marathoner , the whole process began and by word of mouth Picky was born.
