Equity Statement

Picky Bars mission is to fuel the pursuit of life’s potential. Pursuing life’s potential includes actively working to eliminate oppression and create equity for people of marginalized race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, physical and mental disability, religion, and veteran status. We understand and acknowledge that these groups of people have been marginalized by systemic racism, white supremacy, and patriarchy. We realize that maintaining silence on these issues is implicit support and that we haven’t done enough in the past to be true abolitionists, supporting our friends in these groups. 

Our goal is to develop diverse relationships and use our platform to amplify those voices in all conversations. We will invest money, time and resources into diverse partnerships and programs, and create an equitable environment where people of all backgrounds feel welcome, can actively contribute and can thrive.
